We were blessed to have Hospice in my home for my Grandmother …. and yes this title is so true, “… more than pain management.”. Hospice is knowledge, care, listening, security and a friend. All those things rolled up into a wonderful team that you so need even when the family and/or patient may not think so. Once you have an experience with Regional Hospice & Home Care of Western Ct you will want to spread the word ……… I will always be thankful that they cared for my Gram and us.

I have such mixed emotions and tears when I read this ….. every word being so true ……. remembering the day at the breakfast when you gave the speech, all the help they extended to your Dad and then all they gave to “MommaElaine”. I miss her smile, her honesty and her courage. And I esp miss the days when we all laughed thru the tears. Sitting on the bed all holding hands and singing. I am blessed that she held me in the fold of her family and wanted me there until the end! I know she is watching and is proud of the legacy she left.

I remember the morning Karin presented this. Her delivery made her mothers image come alive. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room.This posting will allow so many more people to know the wonderful positive benefits that Hospice, through our caring staff and volunteers can provide.

Wow. Right from the heart. Like getting my morning phone call from Elaine. I remember so clearly how much strength she derived from the people at Regional Hospice when Charlie was so ill. They became her friends. And then they became her extended family when that awful illness hit her. Blessed people they are, one and all.
