On behalf of Regional Hospice, I’d like to thank the Newtown Community for its generous support of our 31st annual Summer Breakfast held on June 15 at The Waterview in Monroe, CT. We would like to thank our Newtown Chapter members Marcie Albanesi, Marilyn Alexander, Colleen Honan, Janet Hovious, Beth Myer, Ellie Staib and Laurie Wrabel for helping to make the breakfast a success, and especially Marg Studley and Marie Sturdevant for serving as co-chairs.
Regional Hospice has provided individualized and compassionate hospice care within the Newtown community and throughout Connecticut since 1983. We are fortunate to have a strong network of friends, families, sponsors and volunteers who once again stepped up with kindness, care and generosity as we honored The Cummings Family whose 16-year-old son Tyler was a patient of ours at the Center for Comfort Care & Healing in Danbury. We were all touched by the beautiful words and sentiments Tyler’s sister, Casey had to say about her beloved brother and the care he and his family received while he was with us in hospice care.
