NOTE: THIS TRAINING HAS ALREADY OCCURRED.
Are you a good listener who enjoys being with other people? Have you been looking for a way to have an impact on someone else’s life? If so, please consider becoming a volunteer for Regional Hospice. Spending time with a volunteer often allows patients to forget about their medical issues and focus on enjoying activities. Whether playing cards, looking at family photos, running errands, providing caregivers with a break or listening to a patient tell his or her stories, it is meaningful time together for both the patient and the volunteer. Family support volunteers provide companionship for patients and much-needed respite for caregivers, typically 2 to 4 hours per week.
