On December 3, 2020, Regional Hospice launched its first virtual event, Wish Upon the North Star. Hamilton star Miguel Cervantes and his wife, national health advocate and activist, Kelly Cervantes, hosted the fundraiser for Regional Hospice’s North Star, the only residential hospice space in the Northeast (and one of only five in the country) dedicated to end-of-life care for babies and children.
Five years ago, Regional Hospice changed the landscape of hospice care when it opened the Center for Comfort Care & Healing. Now it is applying the same special magic to benefit babies and children with terminal illness with the North Star pavilion, where they can spend time in nature or under planetarium ceilings in their private suites.Wish Upon the North Star, a virtual event airing December 3, will support our hospice programming and the North Star pavilion, the only dedicated residential hospice for babies and children in the Northeast, and one of only five in the country. The North Star is the anchor of the northern sky, its bright glow a guide, companion, and beacon for those who have lost their way. The North Star at Regional Hospice is a space for children and families which serves the same purpose: to comfort, share hope and be the guide that leads them home.
