February 8, 2023 — Regional Hospice is excited to announce the expansion of its presence in Litchfield County with the opening of The Center for Hope & Healing at 2 Green Hill Road in Washington Depot, Connecticut.
The new Center offers caregiver and grief counseling support groups which are an extension of the organization’s Healing Hearts Program, specializing in bereavement services for families coping with the death of a loved one. Spiritual renewal sessions through prayer, meditation, and sound healing are also available. All sessions will be led by Regional Hospice’s expert team of licensed social workers, chaplains, and therapists as well as their dedicated team of hospice and bereavement-trained volunteers.
“We are thrilled to expand our services in Washington Depot and further support the Litchfield County community,” said President & CEO Cynthia Emiry Roy MS, LCSW, CHA. “Our purpose and privilege is to provide compassionate care to our patients and their loved ones and we believe The Center for Hope & Healing is the perfect complement to our Center for Comfort Care and Healing in Danbury that provides inpatient hospice care.”

About Regional Hospice’s Healing Hearts Program
Regional Hospice specializes in bereavement services for families coping with the death of a loved one through its Healing Hearts Program. Healing Hearts is the only program of its kind to service Western Connecticut and nearby New York and is solely funded by donations. Individuals and families (adults and children) receive support from social workers, trained volunteers, and more importantly, other grieving people. Healing Hearts offers support groups for Coping with the Death of a Spouse, Living with the Loss of a Child and General Loss for those dealing with the loss of a parent, sibling, or other loved one. Groups are also available for young children coping with the loss of a parent. A parent group is available at the same time. Our family-friendly sessions and compassionate, professionally trained facilitators offer a comforting environment for anyone who is experiencing the process of grief and loss.
