Redefining Hospice – One Patient at a Time
The numbers speak for themselves. When we opened the Regional Hospice and Home Care Center for Comfort Care & Healing, CT’s first nonprofit, state-of-the-art hospice residence just one year ago, we expected to make an impact. Just how meaningful that impact would be, we couldn’t have imagined.
The outpouring of support we received from nearly 350 volunteers meant we could hold more hands and share more stories. Thirteen thousand visitors to the Center comforted patients and helped 2,350 friends and family grieve in our Healing Hearts Center for Grief & Loss.
We served countless, special order meals and home-baked cookies to patients in a broad age range from states near and far. Even better, donations from generous community members helped subsidize $1.2 million in patient care services.
Thanks to so many for so much, it’s been one amazing year of redefining hospice care. We hope you’ll come discover the difference.
