Since 1983, Regional Hospice has provided care choices for terminal patients and their families during the sacred end-of-life transition. Our Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first hospice residence of its kind in Connecticut and is available to anyone in the U.S. Ansonia residents benefit from 24/7 clinical care in private suites with screened in balconies, wood furnishings and chef-prepared custom meals. The Center replicates the comforts of home, where loved ones can focus on quality time together.
We can provide our exceptional hospice services in your Ansonia home or nursing facility, or invite you into our new home, the Center for Comfort Care and Healing. We provide care and support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to our beloved patients.
Physicians, registered nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice care aides and trained hospice volunteers are ready to help treat your loved one based off of their individual care plan. We take a very customized approach to our care here in order to meet each patients needs and own personal goals. We also offer special therapies like speech, physical, and occupational.
Compassion, Peace and Dignity
In order to make your loved one as comfortable as possible, each of our staff members will treat them with respect, dignity, and love. We only hire the most compassionate employees, knowing that a high quality of life depends a lot on how patients are treated while under our care.
Comfort Versus Curative
Hospice care should be considered when a terminal prognosis of 6 months or less is made, or if a child is suffering from a terminal illness. Our entire staff works closely together to provide a comprehensive plan of care for your loved one.
A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
Anyone can request hospice care, though most patients are referred by a hospital, clergy, family, friend or other home care agency and will be admitted under a physician’s order. We provide people an online hospice referral that is located right here on our site.
Hospice is Affordable
Hospice care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most private health insurances, letting you focus on your loved one and provide them with quality hospice care.
