A distinguished nonprofit hospice provider since 1983, Regional Hospice walks alongside Armonk patients and their loved ones enabling those in our care to focus on what matters: living fully when facing life-limiting illness. Patients of all ages―from babies to adults― benefit from our in-patient services. Our Danbury Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first residential hospice center of its kind in Connecticut, offering all the comforts and amenities of home to patients throughout Armonk.
We provide a multidisciplinary approach to palliative care to life-limited patients with advanced illnesses. Relief from pain symptoms and treatment for mental and physical stress is provided by this approach.
We also provide exceptional prenatal and pediatric hospice care for babies and children. Our goal is to assist families and loved ones with their day to day challenges while providing patients a better quality of life.
Since 1983, Regional Hospice has provided care choices for terminal patients and their families during the sacred end-of-life transition. Our Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first hospice residence of its kind in Connecticut and is available to anyone in the U.S. Armonk residents benefit from 24/7 clinical care in private suites with screened in balconies, wood furnishings and chef-prepared custom meals. The Center replicates the comforts of home, where loved ones can focus on quality time together.
Regional Hospice provides care and treatment to patients 24 hours of every day, 7 days a week no matter where you are being treated. Our team of physicians, registered nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice care aides, and trained hospice volunteers at Regional Hospice are committed to following personalized treatment plans that are designed to meet the individual needs of our patients. Treatment plans include pain management, symptom control, speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.
Compassion, Peace and Dignity
It is our main intention to provide compassion, peace, and dignity to all hospice patients with superior care and treatment to allow for a better quality of life in their final days and weeks.
Comfort Versus Curative
Patients with a terminal prognosis of 6 months or less or a child diagnosed with a life-limiting illness need compassionate, specialized hospice care and treatment. Regional Hospice gives comforting care with all the specialized care patients require.
A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
You don’t need a referral to access Regional Hospice. We accept all patients who reach out for our hospice and are cared for by one of our physicians. If an individual chooses to submit an online referral, this can be achieved through our website.
Hospice is Affordable
Medicare, Medicaid, and most health insurance plans cover the cost of hospice care and treatment. Many families find comfort in this when trying to provide their loved ones with all the compassion, care, and comfort they need in their final days.
Our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice Programs focus on Armonk families with babies or children diagnosed with life-limited illnesses. Care plans offer physical, emotional, and spiritual support to all. Our committed team assists loved ones and family members through all steps from pregnancy, labor, and birth, to life along with loss and remembrance.
The specialized Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice treatment plan has routine healthcare visits and perinatal support and gives families instructions on proper care for terminally ill babies or children in their Armonk home. We can also offer assistance with many other community resources.
We Assist With:
