Home Hospice Care

Any person with a terminal illness, regardless of age, is eligible for our hospice care programs. Home Hospice Care comes to you, wherever you reside–your home, assisted living residence, or skilled nursing facility.

A distinguished nonprofit hospice provider since 1983, Regional Hospice walks alongside Beacon Falls patients and their loved ones enabling those in our care to focus on what matters: living fully when facing life-limiting illness. Patients of all ages―from babies to adults―in private homes, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities in four Connecticut counties benefit from our services. Our Danbury Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first residential hospice center of its kind in Connecticut, offering all the comforts and amenities of home to patients throughout Beacon Falls.

Home Hospice

Who We Are and Why We Serve Beacon Falls?

Since 1983, Regional Hospice has provided care choices for terminal patients and their families during the sacred end-of-life transition. Our Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first hospice residence of its kind in Connecticut and is available to anyone in the U.S. Beacon Falls residents benefit from 24/7 clinical care in private suites with screened in balconies, wood furnishings and chef-prepared custom meals. The Center replicates the comforts of home, where loved ones can focus on quality time together.

Why Choose the Regional Hospice Center

Receive our quality care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week here at Regional Hospice. We can come directly to your Beacon Falls home or facility, or invite you to ours at the Center for Comfort Care and Healing.

Our physicians, registered nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice care aides and trained hospice volunteers follow customized care plans based off of each patients specific needs, condition and symptoms. We also offer special services such as speech, physical and occupational therapy.

Compassion, Peace and Dignity

We listen to each patient’s goals and wishes and provide our care and services with that in mind. Each Beacon Falls patient is treated with care, respect, and dignity while we work to manage their pain and symptoms.

Comfort Versus Curative

Hospice care should be considered when a terminal prognosis of 6 months or less is given, or when a child is suffering from an advanced illness. We are here to provide the necessary care and resources to improve their pain and symptoms.

A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary

Though anyone can request hospice care, most patients are referred by a hospital, clergy, family, friend or other home care agency and will be admitted under a physician’s orders. We offer an online hospice referral right here on our website.

Hospice is Affordable

Hospice care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most private health insurances, letting you focus on your loved ones care.

Home Hospice Care in Beacon Falls

Our Home Hospice Care can be utilized wherever you live, whether that’s at your Beacon Falls home, assisted living facility, or nursing home.

Many diagnoses are considered: Alzheimer’s and related dementias, pulmonary and cardiac diseases, and cancer.
Hospice Care is a covered benefit under Medicare, Medicaid, and most insurances.
Special services like speech, physical and occupational therapy are available when needed.
Our support line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for symptom management; medications and equipment as well as emotion and spiritual support.

In some cases you will receive our quality care from a nursing home or assisted living facility under contract with Regional Hospice. When caregivers need a break we have trained volunteers who can step in and run errands, provide companionship, and share special skills and therapies.

Inpatient Hospice Care

We understand that keeping your loved one at home is typically ideal, but often times it isn’t realistic due to their symptoms and needs. We do everything we can to provide comfortable accommodations for patients while they stay with us at our Inpatient Hospice Center in Danbury. We provide services to our patients and their families, making the move as easy as possible.

Perinatal & Pediatric Care

We are here to help families whose babies have been diagnosed with a terminal condition or have died find comfort and support during this difficult time. Our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice Programs provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support throughout the entire journey, from pregnancy to remembrance.

You can expect visits by experienced healthcare professionals, helpful instruction on caring for your baby at home, and further assistance in connecting with local Beacon Falls resources. Our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice Care is here to help in all aspects.
