A distinguished nonprofit hospice provider since 1983, Regional Hospice walks alongside Bedford Hills patients and their loved ones enabling those in our care to focus on what matters: living fully when facing life-limiting illness. Patients of all ages―from babies to adults― benefit from our in-patient services. Our Danbury Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first residential hospice center of its kind in Connecticut, offering all the comforts and amenities of home to patients throughout Bedford Hills.
Our interdisciplinary approach to palliative care offers relief from pain symptoms and treatment for mental and physical stress to life-limited patients with advanced illnesses.
Our services also include prenatal and pediatric hospice care for babies and children. We aim to assist families and loved ones with their day to day challenges while giving patients a better quality of life.
Since 1983, Regional Hospice has provided care choices for terminal patients and their families during the sacred end-of-life transition. Our Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first hospice residence of its kind in Connecticut and is available to anyone in the U.S. Bedford Hills residents benefit from 24/7 clinical care in private suites with screened in balconies, wood furnishings and chef-prepared custom meals. The Center replicates the comforts of home, where loved ones can focus on quality time together.
24 hours of every day, 7 days a week, care and treatment are provided to patients by Regional Hospice no matter your location. Dedicated physicians, registered nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice care aides, and trained hospice volunteers make up our team at Regional Hospice. They are devoted to personalizing treatment plans that are designed to meet the unique needs of our patients and consist of pain management, symptom control, speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.
Compassion, Peace and Dignity
We strive to provide compassion, peace, and dignity to all hospice patients with exceptional care and treatment to allow for a better quality of life in their final days and weeks.
Comfort Versus Curative
When patients are diagnosed with a terminal prognosis of 6 months or less or a child is diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, they require hospice care and treatment that is compassionate and specialized. Regional Hospice provides this specialized care with comfort.
A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
You won’t need a referral when working with Regional Hospice. Every patient who reached out for our hospice will be accepted and given care by one of our physicians. Online referrals can be submitted on our website.
Hospice is Affordable
Medicare and Medicaid cover hospice care and treatment. Most health insurance plans cover this as well. This brings comfort to many families who are trying to give their loved ones the compassion, care, and comfort needed in their final days.
The goal of our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice Programs is to focus on Bedford Hills families with babies or children diagnosed with life-limited illnesses. Our care plans include physical, emotional, and spiritual support to all. Our team is committed to assisting loved ones and family members through all steps from pregnancy, labor, and birth, to life along with loss and remembrance.
The specialized treatment plan for Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice includes routine healthcare visits and perinatal support and instructions for families on proper care for terminally ill babies or children in their Bedford Hills home. We also can provide assistance with other community resources.
