A distinguished nonprofit hospice provider since 1983, Regional Hospice walks alongside Beekman patients and their loved ones enabling those in our care to focus on what matters: living fully when facing life-limiting illness. Patients of all ages―from babies to adults― benefit from our in-patient services. Our Danbury Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first residential hospice center of its kind in Connecticut, offering all the comforts and amenities of home to patients throughout Beekman.
Palliative care is provided for life-limiting and advanced illnesses. We use an interdisciplinary approach to care and treatment for pain relief as well as care for mental and physical stress.
We provide superior prenatal and pediatric hospice care for babies and children diagnosed with life-limited illnesses and strive to help families with their day to day challenges.
Since 1983, Regional Hospice has provided care choices for terminal patients and their families during the sacred end-of-life transition. Our Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first hospice residence of its kind in Connecticut and is available to anyone in the U.S. Beekman residents benefit from 24/7 clinical care in private suites with screened in balconies, wood furnishings and chef-prepared custom meals. The Center replicates the comforts of home, where loved ones can focus on quality time together.
We provide 24/7 care and treatment at the Regional Hospice Center no matter where your treatment is being provided.
Our dedicated team of physicians, registered nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice care aides, and trained hospice volunteers use personalized treatment plans that are designed to meet the needs of individual patients. These plans include pain management, symptom control, speech therapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy as well.
Compassion, Peace and Dignity
Compassion, peace and dignity are the primary goals of our dedicated caregivers and treatment plans that help to improve the overall quality of life for end-of-life patients.
Comfort Versus Curative
With a terminal prognosis of 6 months or less or a child diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, specialized hospice care and treatment is rendered to patients to provide the care and comfort needed. Regional Hospice provides this needed specialized care.
A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
There are no referrals needed for Regional Hospice, but online referrals can be submitted online. Anyone who requests our hospice care will be admitted under the care of one of our physicians.
Hospice is Affordable
Hospice care and treatment is covered by most private health insurance plans as well as Medicare and Medicaid. Surely having coverage affords families the comfort needed to know their loved ones will receive appropriate hospice care in their final days.
Our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice Programs offer Beekman families with babies or children diagnosed with life-limited illnesses physical, emotional, and spiritual support. Our caring staff is on board to assist families every step of the way. We provide comfort and care during pregnancy, labor, birth, life, and even loss and remembrance.
The Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice treatment plan includes ongoing healthcare visits and perinatal support. The plan includes instructions on how to properly care for your babies or children at home. We also provide assistance with other community resources.
