Home Hospice Care

Any person with a terminal illness, regardless of age, is eligible for our hospice care programs. Home Hospice Care comes to you, wherever you reside–your home, assisted living residence, or skilled nursing facility.

The Center for Comfort Care & Healing

Regional Hospice provides expert hospice care to patients wherever they are–in their home, in a skilled nursing facility, or at our Center for Comfort Care and Healing.

Children's Care

Our program provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support for families whose babies have died or have been diagnosed with a terminal condition prior to delivery.

Healing Hearts Program for Grief & Loss

More than 30 programs, support groups, workshops, and memorial events help to heal the pain of grief and loss.

A distinguished nonprofit hospice provider since 1983, Regional Hospice walks alongside Briarcliff Manor patients and their loved ones enabling those in our care to focus on what matters: living fully when facing life-limiting illness. Patients of all ages―from babies to adults― benefit from our in-patient services. Our Danbury Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first residential hospice center of its kind in Connecticut, offering all the comforts and amenities of home to patients throughout Briarcliff Manor

Palliative Care

Who We Are and Why We Serve Briarcliff Manor?

Since 1983, Regional Hospice has provided care choices for terminal patients and their families during the sacred end-of-life transition. Our Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first hospice residence of its kind in Connecticut and is available to anyone in the U.S. Briarcliff Manor residents benefit from 24/7 clinical care in private suites with screened in balconies, wood furnishings and chef-prepared custom meals. The Center replicates the comforts of home, where loved ones can focus on quality time together.

Why Choose the Regional Hospice Center

Regional Hospice provides care and treatment to patients 24 hours of every day, 7 days a week no matter your location. Our team at Regional Hospice consists of physicians, registered nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice care aides, and trained hospice volunteers devoted to personalizing treatment plans that are designed to meet the individual needs of our patients. Treatment plans consist of pain management, symptom control, speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.

Compassion, Peace and Dignity
Providing compassion, peace, and dignity to all hospice patients with superior care and treatment is our goal, which allows for a better quality of life in their final days and weeks.

Comfort Versus Curative
When patients are diagnosed with a terminal prognosis of 6 months or less or a child is diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, they need compassionate, specialized hospice care and treatment. Regional Hospice gives this specialized care patients need with comfort.

A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
Referrals are not necessary with Regional Hospice. All patients who reach out for our hospice will be accepted and are cared for by one of our physicians. Want to submit an online referral? This can be done on our website.

Hospice is Affordable
Hospice care and treatment are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most health insurance plans. This usually brings comfort to many families when trying to provide their loved ones with all the kindness, care, and comfort they need in their final days.

Perinatal & Pediatric Care

The focus of our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice Programs is on Briarcliff Manor families with babies or children diagnosed with life-limited illnesses. Physical, emotional, and spiritual support to all can be found in care plans. Our team is dedicated to assisting loved ones and family members through all steps from pregnancy, labor, and birth, to life along with loss and remembrance.

The specialized Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice treatment plan includes routine healthcare visits and perinatal support and provides families with instructions on proper care for terminally ill babies or children in their Briarcliff Manor home. We also can assist you with various other community resources.

We Assist With:

Developing customized birth plans to establish personal desires and needs
Coordinating discharge of baby to home, when appropriate
Creating cherished keepsakes and photographs
Preparing for memorial services and funerals
