Since 1983, Regional Hospice has provided care choices for terminal patients and their families during the sacred end-of-life transition. Our Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first hospice residence of its kind in Connecticut and is available to anyone in the U.S. Bristol residents benefit from 24/7 clinical care in private suites with screened in balconies, wood furnishings and chef-prepared custom meals. The Center replicates the comforts of home, where loved ones can focus on quality time together.
For our Bristol patients who are at home or a facility, or at our home, the Center for Comfort Care and Healing, Regional Hospice provides expert and quality hospice care services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
With a variety of physicians, registered nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice care aides and trained hospice volunteers we are able to tailor treatment plans to each individual patient based on their needs and wishes. We customize pain management and symptom control services, providing speech, physical, and occupational therapy when needed.
Compassion, Peace and Dignity
Take comfort in knowing that our entire staff will treat you and your loved one with compassion, peace, and dignity. We tailor our treatment plans to each patient allowing them to reach new goals while maintaining a certain level of comfort and quality of life.
Comfort Versus Curative
We recommend considering hospice care when a terminal prognosis of 6 months or less is presented to your loved one, or if a child is suffering from a life-limiting illness. While with us, we will treat you and your loved one with only the best care and support during their time with us.
A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
It is not necessary to have a referral to receive our hospice services, though you may find yourself referred by a hospital, clergy, family member, friend, or other agency and can be admitted under a doctor’s orders. In addition, we offer future patients an online hospice referral which can be found on our website.
Hospice is Affordable
Hospice care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most private health insurances, allowing your loved one to receive the best quality care.
Home Hospice Care is available wherever you are, whether at home, an assisted living residence, or a skilled nursing facility.
