For over 30 years, our dedicated staff here at Regional Hospice and Palliative Care has supported patients and families in the Carmel Hamlet area. We provide emotional, physical, and spiritual guidance for all of our patients. We can offer quality hospice and palliative care both in the comfort of our patient’s home or in our inpatient facility.
After many years of careful planning and consideration, we have gone forth with building Connecticut’s first and only, state-of-the-art, private suite hospice center – our Center for Comfort Care and Healing, located in Danbury, CT.
It is our honor to open our home to those in need; the doors to our beautiful facility are always open.
At Regional Hospice and Palliative Care, you’ll receive 24/7 care and support. Whether it be at your Carmel Hamlet home, nursing facility, or at our home, the Center for Comfort Care and Healing is here for you.
For each of our patient’s needs, we designed individualized custom care plans. Our staff consists of physicians, registered nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice care aids, and trained hospice volunteers to provide special services, including occupational and speech therapy.
Compassion, Peace and Dignity
We strive to provide families and patients with comprehensive care. We treat everyone with kindness, compassion, and respect while they receive their end-of-life care. By combining symptom and pain management techniques, we can help create a better quality of life for our patients.
Comfort Versus Curative
We strive to improve our patients’ quality of life. Our hospice services should be considered when a terminal prognosis of 6 months or less has been determined, or if a child is suffering from an advanced illness. We are here to help both the patient and their family through this difficult time.
A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
There are many different people who can refer patients to us, including physicians, friends, family, clergy members, and other health care agencies. You can refer one through our simple online form.
Hospice is Affordable
The Regional Hospice and Palliative Care accepts the majority of private insurances, including Medicare and Medicaid. For this reason, care for our Carmel Hamlet patients is affordable.
It is our mission to give you the hospice care you need, whether it be in your home, nursing home, or assisted living facility.
