A distinguished nonprofit hospice provider since 1983, Regional Hospice walks alongside Carmel Hamlet patients and their loved ones enabling those in our care to focus on what matters: living fully when facing life-limiting illness. Patients of all ages―from babies to adults― benefit from our in-patient services. Our Danbury Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first residential hospice center of its kind in Connecticut, offering all the comforts and amenities of home to patients throughout Carmel Hamlet.
Our friendly staff provides compassionate pain and symptom management through specialized medical care and treatments, and it is our goal to make patients as comfortable as possible.
Providing expert medical care and nurturing support for infants and children diagnosed with terminal illnesses, we offer both support and comfort for the children who are battling terminal illnesses.
Since 1983, Regional Hospice has provided care choices for terminal patients and their families during the sacred end-of-life transition. Our Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first hospice residence of its kind in Connecticut and is available to anyone in the U.S. Carmel Hamlet residents benefit from 24/7 clinical care in private suites with screened in balconies, wood furnishings and chef-prepared custom meals. The Center replicates the comforts of home, where loved ones can focus on quality time together.
At Regional Hospice, you’ll receive 24/7 care and support. The Center for Comfort Care and Healing is here for you.
For each of our patient’s needs, we designed individualized custom care plans. Our staff consists of physicians, registered nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice care aids, and trained hospice volunteers to provide special services, including occupational and speech therapy.
Compassion, Peace and Dignity
We strive to provide families and patients with comprehensive care. We treat everyone with kindness, compassion, and respect while they receive their end-of-life care. By combining symptom and pain management techniques, we can help create a better quality of life for our patients.
Comfort Versus Curative
We strive to improve our patients’ quality of life. Our hospice services should be considered when a terminal prognosis of 6 months or less has been determined, or if a child is suffering from an advanced illness. We are here to help both the patient and their family through this difficult time.
A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
There are many different people who can refer patients to us, including physicians, friends, family, clergy members, and other health care agencies. You can refer one through our simple online form.
