Any person with a terminal illness, regardless of age, is eligible for our hospice care programs. Home Hospice Care comes to you, wherever you reside–your home, assisted living residence, or skilled nursing facility.

Our Danbury Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first residential hospice center of its kind in Connecticut, offering all the comforts and amenities of home to patients throughout Carmel.

Since 1983, Regional Hospice has provided care choices for terminal patients and their families during the sacred end-of-life transition. Our Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first hospice residence of its kind in Connecticut and is available to anyone in the U.S. Carmel residents benefit from 24/7 clinical care in private suites with screened in balconies, wood furnishings and chef-prepared custom meals. The Center replicates the comforts of home, where loved ones can focus on quality time together.
At Regional Hospice we provide round the clock care and attention to our patient sin need. The Center for Comfort Care and Healing is available to you.
Physicians, registered nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice care aides and trained hospice volunteers follow customized care plans based off of patients pain management needs and personal wishes. We also provide special services such as speech, physical and occupational therapy when needed.

Comfort Versus Curative
We strive to improve our patients quality of life. Our hospice services should be considered when a terminal prognosis of 6 months or less has been determined, or if a child is suffering from an advanced illness.
A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
TThere are many different people who can refer patients to us, including physicians, friends, family, clergy members, and other health care agencies. Your loved one will be admitted to us under the direction of a physician.
Hospice is Affordable
Hospice care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most private health insurances, taking out the stress of providing quality hospice care for your loved one.
We provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to our families who have babies that are diagnosed with an advanced illness or have passed. Our staff is here to provide assistance and guidance from pregnancy to remembrance. Our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice Programs have helped families in Carmel go through this experience.
Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice care can help provide instruction on caring for your baby at home, connect you with experienced healthcare professionals, and give you a community resources for further support.
