Since 1983, Regional Hospice has provided care choices for terminal patients and their families during the sacred end-of-life transition. Our Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first hospice residence of its kind in Connecticut and is available to anyone in the U.S. Carmel residents benefit from 24/7 clinical care in private suites with screened in balconies, wood furnishings and chef-prepared custom meals. The Center replicates the comforts of home, where loved ones can focus on quality time together.
At Regional Hospice we provide round the clock care and attention to our patient sin need. The Center for Comfort Care and Healing is available to you.
Physicians, registered nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice care aides and trained hospice volunteers follow customized care plans based off of patients pain management needs and personal wishes. We also provide special services such as speech, physical and occupational therapy when needed.
Compassion, Peace and Dignity
We take pride in our connection between staff members and our patients. We treat everyone with kindness, compassion, and respect while they receive their end-of-life care. By combining symptom and pain management techniques we can help create a better quality of life for our patients.
Comfort Versus Curative
We strive to improve our patients quality of life. Our hospice services should be considered when a terminal prognosis of 6 months or less has been determined, or if a child is suffering from an advanced illness.
A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
TThere are many different people who can refer patients to us, including physicians, friends, family, clergy members, and other health care agencies. Your loved one will be admitted to us under the direction of a physician.
