A distinguished nonprofit hospice provider since 1983, Regional Hospice walks alongside Connecticut patients and their loved ones enabling those in our care to focus on what matters: living fully when facing life-limiting illness. Patients of all ages―from babies to adults―in private homes, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities in four Connecticut counties benefit from our services. Our Danbury Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first residential hospice center of its kind in Connecticut, offering all the comforts and amenities of home to patients throughout Connecticut.

Who We Are and Why We Serve Connecticut?

Since 1983, Regional Hospice has provided care choices for terminal patients and their families during the sacred end-of-life transition. Our Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first hospice residence of its kind in Connecticut and is available to anyone in the U.S. Connecticut residents benefit from 24/7 clinical care in private suites with screened in balconies, wood furnishings and chef-prepared custom meals. The Center replicates the comforts of home, where loved ones can focus on quality time together.

End-of-life transition is a scary and difficult process to deal with. Since 1983, we have provided Connecticut families with a number of choices for them. Our Center for Comfort Care & Healing is available to anyone in the U.S. and is one of the finest hospice centers in the country. Connecticut residents will feel at home as it replicates the feeling of a comfortable home with balconies, wood furnishing, and custom meals prepared by our team of chefs. We design customized healthcare plans for you or your loved one to follow with the help of our medical staff. These include physicians, social workers, chaplains, registered nurses, hospice care aides, and trained hospice volunteers. While this system is primarily designed for pain management and symptom control, we can also accommodate specialized services such as speech, physical and occupational therapy.

You can conveniently complete an online hospice referral through our website. There’s no need for a doctor’s guidance to go to hospice care. A hospital, clergy, family, friend or other home care agency can recommend a stay at our facility. We can admit any patient under a physician’s direction.

Hospice is Affordable
Hospice care is covered through Medicare, Medicaid, and several types of private health insurance. We make sure to keep prices reasonable to give Connecticut patients the love and care they deserve.

Palliative Care for Fairfield County Residents

Our Palliative Home Care Program offers specialized medical care and treatments that allow people to live more comfortably with relief from the symptoms and pain of an advanced illness. Palliative Home Care offers:

Nursing care to meet a skilled need for a serious or chronic illness
Pain and symptom management
Emotional and spiritual support for both patients and families through social workers and clergy
Other services like speech, physical and occupational therapy when needed

Palliative Home Care is an option that may sometimes work in conjunction with curative treatment It is our main goal to provide our patients with the highest quality of life possible. Coordinating care with physicians and other medical professionals, Fairfield County patients receive specialized treatments with the Palliative Home Care Program. For those who are homebound or have specific needs this program can prove extremely useful in helping to manage their symptoms.

Perinatal & Pediatric Care

We accompany families through the care of a terminally ill or deceased child. We provide support and guidance through the journey of pregnancy, labor, birth, life, and remembrance. It’s a difficult time for the families involved, and we want to be there every step of the way.

Pediatric and Perinatal Hospice Programs are there every step of the way, from the highs of life to the lows of grief. We want to help you process this heartbreaking situation.
