In addition to pain and symptom control, our skilled staff can provide special services such as speech and occupational therapy when needed. Each patient has unique needs and we work to meet those. Our team consists of many professionals including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice care aides, and trained volunteers.

Comfort Versus Curative
Hospice care is a holistic approach focused on relieving symptoms and stress on the patient while controlling the disease. Hospice is available to those whose terminal illness has a prognosis of 6 months or less and children with a life-limiting illness.of 6 months or less and children who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness.

A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
Online hospice referrals may be completed by anyone including family, friends, and clergy through our website. Hospitals, physicians, and home care agencies can, of course, refer patients in the Darien, CT area as well.

Perinatal & Pediatric Care

We offer support to Darien families who have lost babies during pregnancy and whose children have been diagnosed with terminal illnesses. Throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth, and life, we offer medical, emotional, and spiritual support in our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice Programs. Our team will come alongside your family as you choose ways to honor the child you’ve lost.

Our skilled pediatric and perinatal health care professionals will be available for perinatal care and advice on caring for your newborn at home. Our team can also recommend resources within the Darien community to help you in this difficult time.
