Our Danbury Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first residential hospice center of its kind in Connecticut, offering all the comforts and amenities of home to patients throughout East Haven.

Comfort Versus Curative
Hospice care should be considered when a terminal prognosis of 6 months or less is given, or a child is diagnosed with a life-limiting illness. Regardless of their disease or care needs we will provide high quality services with an empathetic human connection.
A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
Hospice can can be requested by anyone. In some cases referrals are made by family, friends, hospitals, medical facilities, or clergy members. You will admitted under a doctors orders and can find all needed services with us. To make it even easier we have created an online hospice referral form that can be filled out on our website.
Hospice is Affordable
It’s important to us that hospice care is affordable to all. Our hospice services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most private health insurances. There is no need to take time worrying about finances when your focus should be on your loved one.
Our skilled nurses and trained professionals can come to you throughout the East Haven area. We are equipped to provide care in your home, assisted living facility, or nursing home.
Commonly Asked Questions
For some, our hospice care will be conducted in a skilled nursing or assisted living facility that is under contract with Regional Hospice. We have trained volunteers available to take over for caregivers when needed. These volunteers can provide companionship, run errands, and provide certain therapies.
We understand that caring for a loved one during their end-of-life care can be difficult, and sometimes staying at their home just isn’t the best option for them anymore. Our Inpatient Hospice Center in Danbury is available to all who are in need of exceptional hospice care. We have ammendenties for both our patients and their families.

Our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice Program help provide both the patient and their family with physical, emotional, and spiritual support. We are right alongside our East Haven families throughout the entire journey from pregnancy to remembrance.
Our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice care includes instruction in caring for young ones at home, consistent visits with a healthcare professional, and help connecting with local resources during this difficult time.
