Our services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We understand that pain doesn’t stop after regular business hours, there will always be a professional staff member there to help your loved one. We can welcome you into our home in Danbury, the Center for Comfort Care and Healing, or come to you at your Hamden home or facility.
We have a full staff of registered nurses, social workers, chaplains, trained volunteers, and hospice care aides that follow each patient’s individualized care plan. Everyone has different needs, different therapies, and different wishes, we treat each patient with respect and provide care as requested.
Compassion, Peace and Dignity
By providing exceptional care and emotional counsel to both our patients and their families we are able to help those dealing with life-limiting illnesses. Each of our staff members has a compassionate soul and will treat your loved one with dignity and care.
Comfort Versus Curative
Hospice care should be considered when a terminal prognosis of 6 months or less has been given, or when a child is diagnosed with an advanced illness. We are here to keep them comfortable and provide companionship for them during this time.
A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
Though our patients are admitted to us under the direction of a doctor, anyone can request our care. Some are referred to us by friends, family, hospitals, medical facilities, clergy, or other agencies. We have a convenient online referral form that can be filled out right here on our website.
Hospice is Affordable
Don’t let money technicalities interrupt time that should be spent with your loved one. Hospice care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most private health insurances.

Commonly Asked Questions
For some patients our services will be received through a skilled nursing/assisted living facility under contract with Regional Hospice. We staff trained volunteers who can step in for caregivers and run errands, provide companionship, and share special skills like music and integrative therapies.
We strive to keep our patients comfortable, for some this can be achieved in their own homes, but for others who can no longer stay at home we can offer our inpatient services at our Danbury Inpatient Hospice Center. We treat your loved one exactly how you would treat them, with respect, care, and empathy.

The in-patient care is only located in the Danbury location.
With extreme love and respect for our youngest patients, our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice Programs can provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support for our Hamden families who are affected by this heartbreaking time. Our staff will be a source of help and comfort throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, life, and remembrance.
Through our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice care, families can find useful community resources, learn instruction on caring for their baby at home, and further perinatal care information.
