Since 1983 the friendly staff here at Regional Hospice and Palliative Care has helped patients all throughout the Mahopac area find comfort during their end-of-life care. We provide comprehensive services to our patients and their families, accommodating everyone with the choice of in-home or in-patient hospice care, palliative care, and pediatric care.
We are proud of our many years thriving as a center for comfort. It is our great honor to support our patients in a comforting environment with grace. We are humbled to open our door for your family and loved ones.
Our patients will receive both compassion and comfort inside our beautiful center, as well as in the comfort of their own home. We also extend our services on a 24/7 basis.
Our physicians, registered nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice care aides, and trained hospice volunteers follow customized care plans that will specifically target each patient’s pain and symptoms. They will also focus on any additional services like speech, occupational, or physical therapy.
Compassion, Peace and Dignity
We cherish the relationships between our staff and patients. We treat everyone with kindness, compassion, and respect while they receive their end-of-life care. By combining symptom and pain management techniques, we can help improve the quality of life for our patients.
Comfort Versus Curative
After a terminal prognosis of 6 months or less has been made, or if a child is suffering from a life-limiting illness, our hospice services should be considered. We are here to offer you the support and guidance through this difficult time.
A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
Anyone can request our care, though many patients are referred to us by a hospital, family member, friend, or other agency. Our patients are then admitted to us under a doctor’s orders. We offer an online referral form for your convenience.
Hospice is Affordable
Hospice care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most private health insurances, letting you and your family focus on providing expert care for your loved one.
Whether your loved one live at home, in assisted living, or in a skilled nursing facility, Home Hospice Care will come to you and accommodate your needs.
