A distinguished nonprofit hospice provider since 1983, Regional Hospice walks alongside Rye patients and their loved ones enabling those in our care to focus on what matters: living fully when facing life-limiting illness. Patients of all ages―from babies to adults― benefit from our in-patient services. Our Danbury Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first residential hospice center of its kind in Connecticut, offering all the comforts and amenities of home to patients throughout Rye.

Since 1983 Regional Hospice and Palliative Care has been committed to providing comfort, care, and compassion to our Rye patients who are diagnosed with life-limiting illnesses or those who suffer losses. Our dedicated team of caregivers provides in-home or in-patient hospice care as well as palliative care and pediatric care to our many patients and their families throughout the Greater Rye region.

We not only provide all the compassion and care they need but also the peace and dignity for loved ones in need of end-of-life care. We provide our specialized treatments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Home Hospice

We provide hospice care which includes health care as well as emotional and spiritual support, in your Rye home. We also provide our top-rated care and treatment to those residing in assisted living facilities or in skilled nursing facilities.

Palliative Care

Palliative Care is an interdisciplinary approach to specialized medical care and treatment for life-limiting and advanced illnesses. The care focuses specifically on pain relief as well as mental and physical stress. Further, it focuses on providing a better quality of life.

Who We Are and Why We Serve Rye?

Since 1983, Regional Hospice has provided care choices for terminal patients and their families during the sacred end-of-life transition. Our Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first hospice residence of its kind in Connecticut and is available to anyone in the U.S. Rye residents benefit from 24/7 clinical care in private suites with screened in balconies, wood furnishings and chef-prepared custom meals. The Center replicates the comforts of home, where loved ones can focus on quality time together.

A referral to our hospice center is not necessary. Anyone who requests our hospice care will be admitted under the care of one of our physicians.

Hospice is Affordable
Hospice care is covered by Medicare and Medicaid as well as most private health insurance plans.

Palliative Care for Rye Residents

Our Palliative Home Care Program is focused on helping patients with advanced illnesses live more comfortably.

Palliative Home Care offers:

Emotional and spiritual support for both patients and families through social workers and clergy
Other services like speech, physical and occupational therapy when needed

Palliative Home Care integrates effective pain and symptom management with curative treatment in order to achieve the highest quality of patient care.

The Palliative Home Care Program works in collaboration with your physician’s care. The program is ideal for those homebound patients who suffer from chronic pain symptoms and are in desperate need of some type of relief.

Perinatal & Pediatric Care

For those Rye families with babies and young children who have been diagnosed with terminal illnesses, our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice Programs provide all the physical, emotional, and spiritual support you need. From pregnancy, labor, and birth, to lifespan and even remembrance our team is on hand to help.

Our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice care includes regular healthcare visits and support with perinatal care. It also instructs families on proper at home care of their babies.
