Why Choose the Regional Hospice Center

Why Choose the Regional Hospice Center? At the Center for Comfort Care and Healing, Regional Hospice provides hospice care services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Physicians, registered nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice care aides and hospice volunteers follow individual care plans designed for each Somers patient’s unique pain management and symptom control needs with various therapy services.

Compassion, Peace and Dignity
During this difficult time we support you and your loved ones with the kindness they deserve. Our symptom and pain management work allows end-of-life Somers patients to reach goals enhancing the quality of life.

Comfort Versus Curative
Consider hospice for terminal prognoses of 6 months or less, (a disease that has run its course) or a child with a life-limiting illness. Our goal is to give the highest quality of life to you and your loved one in their final portion of time.

A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
Anyone may request hospice care such as a hospital, clergy, family, friend or home care agency to admit a patient under a physician’s direction. Online hospice referrals are available through our site.

Hospice is Affordable
Hospice care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most private health insurances to give high-quality care to your loved one.

Perinatal & Pediatric Care

Our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice Programs offers physical, emotional, and spiritual support to Somers families with babies diagnosed with a terminal condition or have died. We support families during the journey of pregnancy, labor, birth, life and remembrance.

During Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice care expect visits from healthcare professionals with expert skills in perinatal care, instruction for caring for babies at home, and community resource assistance.
