Any person with a terminal illness, regardless of age, is eligible for our hospice care programs. Home Hospice Care comes to you, wherever you reside–your home, assisted living residence, or skilled nursing facility.

A distinguished nonprofit hospice provider since 1983, Regional Hospice walks alongside Southbury patients and their loved ones enabling those in our care to focus on what matters: living fully when facing life-limiting illness. Patients of all ages―from babies to adults―in private homes, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities in four Connecticut counties benefit from our services. Our Danbury Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first residential hospice center of its kind in Connecticut, offering all the comforts and amenities of home to patients throughout greater Southbury.

Home Hospice

Our Southbury residents, who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness, can request our care at their home, nursing facility, or assisted living residence. We treat each patient individually based on their physical and emotional needs.

Inpatient Hospice

We are thrilled to offer patients the only private suite hospice center in the state, keeping their comfort as our top priority and offering gourmet meals and quality accommodations.

Since 1983, Regional Hospice has provided care choices for terminal patients and their families during the sacred end-of-life transition. Our Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first hospice residence of its kind in Connecticut and is available to anyone in the U.S. Southbury residents benefit from 24/7 clinical care in private suites with screened in balconies, wood furnishings and chef-prepared custom meals. The Center replicates the comforts of home, where loved ones can focus on quality time together.

Our unsurpassed hospice care can be received at your home in Southbury, or at ours at the Center for Comfort Care and Healing, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our entire staff here at Regional Hospice is here to provide your loved one with love, respect, and compassion.

With an entire team of dedicated nurses, physicians, social workers, chaplains, aids, and trained volunteers working together, we create customized treatment plans for each patient. Based off of their pain, symptoms, and condition we can also offer certain therapies like speech, physical, and occupational.

Comfort Versus Curative
Our hospice care should be considered when a terminal prognosis of 6 months or less is made, or when a child is diagnosed with a terminal illness. We provide each and every patient with comfort and pain management techniques to help reach their highest quality of life.

A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
Patients can be referred to us by anyone, though they will be admitted to us under the direction of a physician. Friends, family, agencies, clergy, or hospitals can refer a patient, we even offer an online referral form for your convenience.

Hospice is Affordable
Continue to provide your loved one with only the best end-of-life care knowing that it is covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most private health insurances.

Inpatient Hospice Care

Sometimes those suffering from advanced illnesses can’t live on their own in their Southbury home. We provide quality care and treatments for those who wish to stay with us in our Inpatient Hospice Center located in Danbury. We can help keep patients comfortable and offer them exceptional amenities like gourmet meals and access to massages and Reiki.

The in-patient care is only located in the Danbury location.
