Our Patients’ Stories

Our Mission

Compassion, Peace and Dignity

Regional Hospice takes great pride in the services offered, including full familial support. We make sure there is peace and comfort for all we help serve. We also strive to help our patients achieve goals and improvements they would like to see. All of our services are provided with the utmost understanding.

Comfort Versus Curative
We generally suggest hospice consideration when there is a terminal prognosis or a life-limiting illness, specifically with a diagnosis of 6 months of less. This can be a difficult time, which is why we provide the highest quality of living for your loved ones during this period.

A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary

Regional Hospice tries to make its services available to anyone and as convenient as possible. Hospice care requests can come from anyone — family, friends, hospital, clergy. We even offer an online referral system through our website for a simple referral process.

Hospice is Affordable

Our services would not be the trusted choice for Stratford without being affordable for our patients. Our hospice care is covered by most private health insurance policies, including Medicaid and Medicare.

Home Hospice Care in Stratford

We provide exceptional and respectable hospice care all throughout Stratford. Wherever our patients are, whether that’s in home, at an assisted living residence, or other, we are there to serve.

Commonly Asked Questions

  • Many diagnoses are considered: Alzheimer’s and related dementias, pulmonary and cardiac diseases, and cancer.
  • Hospice Care is a covered benefit under Medicare, Medicaid, and most insurances.
  • Our support line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for symptom management; medications and equipment as well as emotion and spiritual support.

When we work with our patients who are living in an assisted living home or other nursing facility, we typically develop a contract through Regional Hospice to oversee the program and development more carefully. This usually includes involving properly trained volunteers to aid local caregivers.
