To Our Patients and Families:

Please know our hearts are with you as you cope with an illness in this unprecedented COVID-19 climate. Regional Hospice is committed to walking alongside you and providing needed symptom management and psychosocial support during this time. Our current care protocol is based on guidelines from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as well as the Connecticut Department of Health (DPH). To ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing, staff is monitoring their temperatures and doing risk assessments daily, and our team will continue to ask health status questions before every community visit.

We will move through this precarious situation together. Staff will be closely assessing visits and with your input, we will decide if at any time, phone or video conferencing such as FaceTime, WhatsApp or Zoom is a preferred and practical choice.

Please be assured that we will continue to be available and provide in-home visits as needed, including visits from our nighttime team. Also, to reduce unnecessary worry, please know that it is common for staff schedules to routinely change, especially now.

All of us at Regional Hospice wish you love and comfort during these challenging life events.

Blessings and gratitude,

Cynthia Emiry Roy, MS, LCSW, CHA
