Since 1983, Regional Hospice has provided care choices for terminal patients and their families during the sacred end-of-life transition. Our Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first hospice residence of its kind in Connecticut and is available to anyone in the U.S. Watertown residents benefit from 24/7 clinical care in private suites with screened in balconies, wood furnishings and chef-prepared custom meals. The Center replicates the comforts of home, where loved ones can focus on quality time together.
Regional Hospice is dedicated to giving our Watertown patients and their families care and comfort. Our team will provide personalized care and support to help live out remaining days happy and pain free.
In addition to pain and symptom control, our skilled staff can provide special services such as speech and occupational therapy when needed. Each patient has unique needs and we work to meet those. Our team consists of many professionals including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice care aides, and trained volunteers.
Compassion, Peace and Dignity
The team at Regional Hospice believes patients deserve to spend their end-of-life pain free and with dignity. We offer a respite to family caregivers and allow patients peaceful time to cherish with their loved ones.
Comfort Versus Curative
Our team aims to give the highest quality of life to you and your loved one during final portion of their time. With a prognosis of six months or less, managing symptoms and pain can improve one’s quality of life.
A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
Hospice care is available to anyone and everyone who is considering it without a doctor’s referral. A patient is able to be referred by a hospital, clergy, family, friend or other home care agency and will be admitted under a physician’s direction. You can use our online hospice referral as well.
Hospice is Affordable
Regional Hospice is committed to providing quality care for everyone. Most private health insurances, Medicaid, and Medicare cover some or all of the costs of hospice care.
Whether you are located in a Watertown home, assisted living residence, or skilled nursing facility, our home hospice care team will come to you.
