Home Hospice Care

Any person with a terminal illness, regardless of age, is eligible for our hospice care programs. Home Hospice Care comes to you, wherever you reside–your home, assisted living residence, or skilled nursing facility.

The Center for Comfort Care & Healing

Regional Hospice provides expert hospice care to patients wherever they are–in their home, in a skilled nursing facility, or at our Center for Comfort Care and Healing.

Children's Care

Our program provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support for families whose babies have died or have been diagnosed with a terminal condition prior to delivery.

Healing Hearts Program for Grief & Loss

More than 30 programs, support groups, workshops, and memorial events help to heal the pain of grief and loss.

A distinguished nonprofit hospice provider since 1983, Regional Hospice walks alongside Westchester County patients and their loved ones enabling those in our care to focus on what matters: living fully when facing life-limiting illness. Patients of all ages―from babies to adults― benefit from our in-patient services. Our Danbury Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first residential hospice center of its kind in Connecticut, offering all the comforts and amenities of home to patients throughout Westchester County.

Who We Are and Why We Serve Westchester County?

Since 1983, Regional Hospice has provided care choices for terminal patients and their families during the sacred end-of-life transition. Our Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first hospice residence of its kind in Connecticut and is available to anyone in the U.S. Westchester County residents benefit from 24/7 clinical care in private suites with screened in balconies, wood furnishings and chef-prepared custom meals. The Center replicates the comforts of home, where loved ones can focus on quality time together.

The Regional Hospice center is where patients decide they no longer want to go through curative treatments that are difficult and painful, or that require them to go into a hospital. Patients may also want to stay home and spend time with those they love while staying in a familiar space.

Compassion, Peace and Dignity
We strive to give our patients the highest quality of life possible, while also providing their family with emotional and spiritual support.Each Westchester County patient is treated with care, respect, and dignity while we work to manage their pain and symptoms.

Comfort Versus Curative
Our hospice care when a terminal prognosis of 6 months or less is presented to your loved one, or if a child is suffering from a life-limiting illness. Our expert staff will treat you and your loved one with only the best care and support during their time with us.

A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
Though anyone can request our hospice services, patients are admitted under a doctor’s orders, and are often referred by a hospital, clergy, family, friend or other home care agency. We offer an online hospice referral form on our website.

Hospice is Affordable
We make sure hospice is affordable for those who need it. At Regional Hospice we accept most major private insurance such as Medicare and Medicaid.

Perinatal & Pediatric Care

Families who have a baby with a terminal illness or have died should consider our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice Programs. During your time of grief, we will support you with guidance and healing. We can accompany families throughout the journey of pregnancy, labor, birth, life and remembrance.

You can expect visits by experienced healthcare professionals, helpful instruction on caring for your baby at home, and further assistance in connecting with local Westchester County resources. Our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice Care is here to help you throughout the entire process.

Prenatal support
Childbirth education and preparation
Developing individualized birth plans to establish personal desires and needs
Coordinating discharge of baby to home, when appropriate
Creating cherished keepsakes and photographs
Preparing for memorial services and funerals
