Home Hospice Care

Any person with a terminal illness, regardless of age, is eligible for our hospice care programs. Home Hospice Care comes to you, wherever you reside–your home, assisted living residence, or skilled nursing facility.

The Center for Comfort Care & Healing

Regional Hospice provides expert hospice care to patients wherever they are–in their home, in a skilled nursing facility, or at our Center for Comfort Care and Healing.

Children's Care

Our program provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support for families whose babies have died or have been diagnosed with a terminal condition prior to delivery.

Healing Hearts Program for Grief & Loss

More than 30 programs, support groups, workshops, and memorial events help to heal the pain of grief and loss.

A distinguished nonprofit hospice provider since 1983, Regional Hospice walks alongside White Plains patients and their loved ones enabling those in our care to focus on what matters: living fully when facing life-limiting illness. Patients of all ages―from babies to adults― benefit from our in-patient services. Our Danbury Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first residential hospice center of its kind in Connecticut, offering all the comforts and amenities of home to patients throughout White Plains.

Who We Are and Why We Serve White Plains?

Since 1983, Regional Hospice has provided care choices for terminal patients and their families during the sacred end-of-life transition. Our Center for Comfort Care & Healing is the first hospice residence of its kind in Connecticut and is available to anyone in the U.S. White Plains residents benefit from 24/7 clinical care in private suites with screened in balconies, wood furnishings and chef-prepared custom meals. The Center replicates the comforts of home, where loved ones can focus on quality time together.

Why Choose the Regional Hospice Center

Regional Hospice is proud to offer in-patient hospice care services. Our quality emotional, physical, and spiritual support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Registered nurses, physicians, social workers, aids, volunteers, and chaplains are here to follow specific individualized treatment plans that focus around the patients pain and symptoms. We can also offer special therapies like speech, occupational, and physical.

Compassion, Peace and Dignity
Our physicians, aids, and caregivers treat each patient as if their were their own family. By breaking the barrier between patient and staff member we have allowed for special bonds to form, furthering your loved ones level of comfort and trust while staying with us. Each of our White Plains patients is respected, cared for and treated with peace.

Comfort Versus Curative
Consider hospice care when a terminal prognosis of 6 months or less is determined, or when a child is suffering from an advanced illness. We can provide our services with dignity and respect to our patients wishes while treating them medically and emotionally.

A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
Our White Plains patients will be admitted to us under a doctors direction, but anyone can request or refer a patient to us. In some cases, family, friends, hospitals or even clergy members will refer patients. We have an online referral form right here on our site as well.

Hospice is Affordable
Hospice care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most private health insurances, letting you provide only the best care for your loved one.

Perinatal & Pediatric Care

Our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice Programs provide support to White Plains families whose babies and children have been diagnosed with terminal conditions. We treat each of our young patients with the utmost care and compassion during this time. We will also assist your entire family from pregnancy, to birth, to remembrance.
